Congratulations to my editor, Bernard Lecerf, for winning his 8th National title. Bernard came to my very first coaching presentation in 2003 of my material that makes up my book, The Last 9 Seconds. He was so interested in my material that he offered to edit my work.
He got to know my information inside out as he did a wonderful job editing my work. In the meantime, he kept coaching his team at Upper Canada College and quietly went about teaching players how to take advantage of their chances to score and in the process has now won 8 National Titles. The team photo above was taken in the 2013 final when UCC from Toronto beat Collingwood School from West Vancouver to take the title.
Lecerf said, "we didn't play that well in the final after having a great series of games to get to the final but we took advantages of our chances to come from behind to win."
I was at the game and saw 2 goals from only 2 chances. It was enough to come from behind to win 2-1.
Lecerf has since retired enjoying travelling, watching soccer, and occassionally helping coach kids in his community.
